DD eats well off a spoon sometimes but has decided not to at breakfast. Can any of you suggest some easy to prepare finger foods other than toast or banana as she is rather constipated? Thanks.

Slices of fruit (mango, melon)?
Omelette slices or eggy bread?
Weetabix, or mini weetabix softened with a little milk?

My Ds 9 mo loves dry mini weetabix, I get a bit nervous as worried about him choking because its so dry but just make sure he has milk to drink and watch him like a hawk. Sorts him out if hes bunged up aswell. Crumpets go down well cut into strips. Scotch pancakes, tea cakes, fruity toast, cheese sticks with omlette strips, maybe also try a bit of pure orange juice in water to help get things moving

Crispbreads or ricecakes with jam bit messy tho,

Scrambled egg.

easy on the eggs though if constipated as they don't help.

all sorts of fruit make good finger food and will help keep dd hydrated which will help constipation.

Are you lacking time to do the spoon for her or just want to encourage self reliance? Only ask as cereals like porridge or weetabix are great for a bunged up bottom.

Thanks for the replies everyione. Jenner, I would be happy to spoonfeed but she won't accept it at breakfast any more. I have 2 other dcs, so breakfast is always a rush. I want something as simple as baby porridge! will try fruit and see how we. go.

Soreen, can get it ready sliced, and they do various types now

Ds is never interested in finger foods at breakfast but have tried eggy bread and rice cakes with fruit puree on top (seems like anything I make with blueberries goes very thick & perfect for spreading).

That is unless he finds a bit of rice cake he's hidden from the day before and chomps it while I'm making breakfast Blush

Porridge fingers. They are brilliant - 2 mins in the microwave and you can stir fruit in to liven them up and make yourself feel a bit saintly Smile
