My 10 month old has been eating pureed food for 4months now. I have mainly been feeding him from a spoon but encouraging him to self feed, bits of toast, some cheese, breadsticks and similar. In the last 2 weeks I have been giving him finger foods for breakfast lunch and dinner but now won't eat anything from a spoon. It wouldn't be a problem but he won't pick up any vegetables/fruit to eat, only breadsticks, bread or cheese. I have resorted to making him a smoothie for breakfast and feeding it to him in a doidy cup but does anyone have any ideas how to get some veg into him? Or any veg their LO particulary liked as a finger food?

Courgette seems to work well. What about hiding some veggies in mash potato balls, then he can pick those up.

cold sliced fritatta. you can make it very cheesy and then added some diced veg too.

Cheesy beans - you can get reduced salt/no salt ones. the wholearth ones are yummy.

cook some carrot batons and give them to him with hummous and teach him to dip.

cooked, tinned tomatoes on toast with a bit of cheese. you can also hide veggies in the tomatoes too - kind a pizza for babies!

Falafel are good with dips too.

Broad and edamame beans and peas.

Baby sweetcorn and corn on the cob.

You can hide lots of veggies in pasta sauce, penne good for finger food.

Second dipping. Makes everything more fun!

Keep offering but not stressing if refusing. Eat the same foods at the same times.
