Too much??

I have been weaning my baby for 3 weeks now and he is 5 months. Health visitor told me to wean as he wasn't taking a bottle in the day. He is eating all homemade purees just once a day at lunch. I don't no if he's having too much he eats one of the freezer cubes full. Is that too much?? He scoffs the lot but it seems so much when it's defrosted..

Any advise would be a help.

I'd give him as much as he likes, trust that he knows what he's doing. Do you mean 1 ice cube sized portion? If so, no that is not a lot. Most babies I know eat a lot more than that per meal
