9mo DD refuses to eat anything but purees. I try and try and try with textured, lumpy, finger food with her ALL the time but she just refuses. Need desperate help and advice from fellow mums.

Sumi if she refuses the lumpy food or finger food, what do you do?

I am by far no expert but just a couple of thoughts for you.

Do you eat with her as this may help her want to try what your eating.

Sit her on your lap at dinner time see if she'll help herself from your plate.

Do you make your own foods as I have read that the transition from stage 1 jars to stage 2 is quite a jump. If you make your own maybe you are just going to have to take it super slowly.

Dd2 struggled a little with the move from stage 1 to 2. What you could try is mixing very small amount of stage 2 into usual stage 1 and as your dc gets used to that increase amount of stage 2. Before you know it you'll be on stage 2. I would also keep offering finger food regularly, but if dc not interested, no worries just remove it. What finger foods are you offering? Dd2's favourites initially were organix carrot puffs, avocado slices, rice cakes smothered in cream cheese (helped make it soggy).

If you're not already, try having something to eat at same time as your dd. let her see what you're eating, maybe offer her suitable bits of it. She will get it eventually. Sounds like you're going to need to take it nice and slowly Smile.
