Meat - how and how often?!

I'm not a veggie but I don't eat a great deal of meat, I think I could quite easily go a week without really eating any. But I worry as to how often ds (9 months, blw) should be having it. Especially as I dont really eat anything I would consider meat substitute. When he does have meat he doesn't seem massively keen, he prefers fish I think but even then doesn't exactly wolf it down!

I was just wondering how often I should be aiming to give him meat and if anyone had any easy popular recipes they would be willing to share.

Thank you!

Babies from 9 months should be having protein twice a day, it doesn't matter if it's meat, fish, eggs, lentils etc. Think about those parents who chose to raise their children as vegetarians. You could always freeze some portions so if you're not eating meat etc then he still can.
