What type bottle next?

DS has just turned one and I keep hearing (off friends and family) that he shouldn't be using bottles anymore for his milk. He still has 3 bottles a day. Was down to 2 at one stage but has creeped back up to 3.

I've been nervous to change as he's so good at using the Avent bottles but I guess e needs to move on. He drinks water from a variety o cups, a sippy cup, a sports type cup.

What would people suggest for his milk?

Just use his cup. Get rid of the bottle. At 12mo DD had a cup of milk at breakfast, and we offered her bedtime feed in a cup - she drank less and less, slept the same and very quickly dropped her bedtime feed to sleep.

You don't need to replace the bottle with another bottle.

Like Flisspaps says, it's replacing bottles with cups. Prolong sucking on teats is bad for their teeth.

Sorry, I think I confused things by saying what 'bottle' next - it was automatic as he uses bottles now. I guess my question is 'what next'?

Thanks

Whatever suits him best then - DD used her lidded beaker, others go on to a normal cup (depending on how messy they are!)

DD uses tommee tippee free flow cups. I've got three of these now. First cups for meals (as she can drink these one handed when having food). First beakers for cows milk. And those on the go sippers for going out since they are HUGE and can store a lot of water. But they are all the same type of flip top free flow so DD basically is just drinking out of one type of cup.
