15 months and gone off food

Hi there
My little girl is 15 months and over the last 4-5 days has gone off food. She will still eat but not as much and has mostly gone off her main courses - savoury meals. Still very good with eating porridge/Weetabix at breakfast time and will also eat rice pudding and sometimes fruit and yogurts and snacks like dried fruit. She has gone off her afternoon biscuit which used to be a real treat. She will eat a bit of her main course but will then get upset and it's sometimes the same with other foods too. She is drinking plenty. This has coincided with starting to wake at night crying whereas she slept well before. I am assuming this is teething but I'm surprised not to have discovered any new teeth yet. In need of reassurance please!!

Hi
I can't give any reassurance sorry as my son has also stopped eating his normal foods. (Also 15mths) Wants everything he can pick up, very little veg and no fruit. All the home cooked main meals (with all the good stuff) he won't even take a mouth full. I resorted to going back to some jared food just to get some goodness into him. A wk later he's now refusing them too. Anything that would require him using a spoon (or fingers if he prefers) just won't be attempted. I'm hoping it's just a blip, but this has been going on for 3wks now.....
Ho Hum, whilst waiting for some mirracle, i'll just carry on dreaming up new ways to get the fruit and veg in him. Hmm

Don't know if either of you still there... Similar story here 15.5 months. DD has become superfussy will barely eat anything other than bolognese, sausages and the odd avocado, oh yeah and the odd cream cheese sandwich. She's asking for milk the whole time. She usually eat breakfast ok (weetabix, porridge or shreddies). Sometimes she will only eat yoghurt. We had 4 days of virtually no food but there seems little pattern to what she will agree to stick in her mouth.

I am positive it is her canines giving her issues, she's also not sleeping well and chewing her fingers a lot. Suddenly we have had two days where she's eaten again, if fussily, ie from previous list of acceptable foods, and at first I thought I saw one peeping through but I finally managed a good look this morning and NOTHING! Sigh.

I know toddlers are famously fussy, but I find it hard not to think I've done something wrong...

They really do just go through phases. DD is 15mo now, and was off her food a month ago. Even the nursery commented how she's not eating her lunch, when normally she'll eat 2-3 bowls of food. I didn't do anything to make sure she eats, no jars, no extra puddings, nothing. Just the same as what we eat. Same as the nursery, they don't cook anything special for fussy kids. No children will willingly starve themselves. If they don't eat, it just means they aren't in the mood of eating.

It lasted a couple of weeks, and then she cut two molars and she's now back to normal.
