DS had them. Over cook slightly and allow to cool, the bread crumb coating then goes a bit stiff and baby can pick up whole thing and bite bits off. I cut them up and DS picks up each bit.

I think they have salt in which is not good for babies

paranoid2android Salt is essential to babies, and all humans.

Fish fingers have less salt in than bread, and much less per weight of other nutrition.

But the salt that naturally occurs in food is enough, anything with added salt is not good, I don't give my daughter bread very often because of that. I was just assuming fish fingers had added salt in which case they wouldn't be good.

Sorry my post sounded stupid . What I meant to say is ADDed salt is not good for babies!

Fish fingers are a great weaning food they do have salt in but they're ok as long as you don't give other salty foods that day I.e. Serve with veg not baked beans and chips
