From www.bounty.com/baby/care/is-your-baby-ready-to-eat

"The Department of Health recommends exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months. But how can you tell when your baby is ready to try something a little more substantial? You may want to consider introducing first foods when your baby:

  • Does not seem satisfied with the usual amount of milk and starts to demand more feeds.
  • Appears to be more restless and starts to wake in the night, especially if they have learned to sleep through.
  • Shows an interest in your food, watching you eat and reaching out to grab foods from you."

Seems a bit outdated to me!

agree that this is outdated! demanding more milk can mean a growth spurt, or because that is just what babies do! Waking at night can be related to teething, or just generally being unsettled.
