Its been awhile since my first child and I forget what are the first foods to give baby??

So far we have tried apple, pear, banana and porridge... Only porridge has gone down well. The others have been only the tiniest amount not spit out.

What else should I give? Baby is 27 weeks but doesn't seem that keen to swallow.

If you're doing purees, try potatoes, butternut squash, parsnips, carrots, broccoli, peas, cheese, yoghurt...

my mum suggested only one food per week? that seems slow to me. what do you reckon?

cheapandchic no need for a gradual approach! Just give what you're having.

Take a look at www.babyledweaning.com

You can give any food, from the start, bar honey (until 1yo), whole grapes (cut them in half) and whole nuts.
