I have just started weaning. My baby has always been very sicky...loads of spitting up breast milk. Today when I fed her a banana she was very keen but then vomited it straight up. Was that just a coincidence?

Does that mean she is allergic? Or Do food allergies only show up as a rash?

I would probably imagine that her vomiting was caused by a gag reflex! It's very common at the beginning for this to happen. It's very unlikely that it was an allergic reaction. The only true way to find out is to try her with it again!! I would expect another sign to have come up too! E.g rash, hives, swallon lips etc.

Good luck with the weaning
