Re-freezing cooked meat

Hi,

This might seem a bit of a strange question but I've been quite tentative about cooking meat for DS (now almost 12 months). We always cook meat when it's fresh, then freeze into portions. However, for DH and I we will ften freeze meat the day we buy it, the thaw it, cook it and the freeze any extra portions. Would this be safe for DS too? Never have done so far but it would make life easier if we could freeze meat as soon as buy it, rather than hving to cook it before 'best before' date.

Thanks

Yes, perfectly safe as long as its thoroughly reheated when you want to eat it (and isn't frozen a third time!)

So it's frozen once when raw and then once when it's cooked? Yep, we do that all the time.

Second the freeze once raw, once cooked rule. Smile
