10.5 mo - not eating following sickness - help

Hi everyone

My chubby little DS is losing weight and it's making me so worried! He's just getting over D&V - 4 days of it, was last sick on sunday and last diarrhoea on tuesday. So I know it's still early days .... but he's just not eating!

before sickness this is what he ate:
7am- BF
830am- 1 weetabix&milk, half banana, half slice toast
1030am- BF
1230pm- eg slice toast, half avocado, slice cheese, breadstick, couple slices chicken, followed by a plum baby yogurt and a kiwi fruit
3pm- BF
5pm- eg decent portion fishpie/shepherds pie etc, some broccoli, followed by tablespoon greek yoghurt, piece fruit/fruit pot.
7pm BF

Today he has eaten grand total of:
4am - BF
7am - BF
9am - few spoons porridge
11am - BF
1230pm - bite toast, 2 spoons scrambled egg, plum baby yoghurt
3pm - BF
5pm - 5 spoons mashed potato, half slice avocado, half a fruit pot.
And will have 7pm BF and no doubt wake in the night for another.

Is it normal to take a while to get his appetite back? He's having long periods of wakefulness in the night and hardly napping (screams every nap time) and I'm finding myself becoming the hideous mother who tries to shove food in their babies mouth in a desperate attempt to get them to eat.

I really really don't want to give him any food issues but am really worried that he's not getting enough (not to mention want him to get back to sleeping through...)

Any thoughts? What can i do to increase his appetite - or do I just sit and wait?

Thanks!

He's getting quite a lot there still especially as he's now BF'ing more - give him a chance to recover!

Thanks. It's just so unlike him to push away food. I also think he's constipated - was up for an hour in the night screaming and farting, and he hasn't pooed since Tuesday.

So this is normal following illness? It's just that I had the same virus and I was ravenous as soon as I started to feel a bit better!
