Baby-led weaning

I found out about baby-led weaning here on mumsnet and I've read the UNICEF article by Gill Rapley here

..but I can't find anything else. Are there any books ? Annabel Karmel et al suddenly seem very out of date in the few years since weaning ds1 at 4 months 3 years ago. ds2 is 24 weeks, exclusively bf and hungry, hungry, hungry.

From other threads it looks like in summary you

  • start with chip shaped steamed veg
  • don't use spoons
  • don't worry too much if they gag a bit to start with
  • get used to the mess

Is that it ?

Perhaps a mumsnetter should write a book. I haven't come across anyone else who has ever heard of it!
