Weaning confusion!

My baby boy is 8 months old in one week and is currently having 5 bottles, 1 bowl of porridge and a 4 month old baby jar everyday.

He sleeps through the night and he has never been very interested in eating "solid foods"

My question is: Can anyone suggest any "Snacks" that i could give him to get him used to eating lumpy foods as he is currently refusing to have anything which has a minor lump in it.

He sometimes refuses Solids for days and only has about 5/6 bottles, if someone can give a very confused Mum some advice on what they would do for him that would be greatly appriciated!

Toast fingers, rice cakes, little organic wheat puffs found in baby aisle. All messy and all fun.

I had a similar sort of issue with my first. In the end I cut back on the milk to make sure she was hungry enough to be I interested in food.

Try to let your baby lead you though. They are all different.

Really ripe banana chunks, oatcakes, bread with Philadelphia, potato/sweet potato wedges. Those outrageously expensive baby biscotti dissolve nicely and are easy to eat.

Thankyou so much for your help! I will try all of your suggestions.
