Stuck in a cheese rut! Help!

DS is 7 months and we are doing blw. At the moment he is having lunch and then a light dinner. He loves it, and has a go at anything that is put in front of him.

Every day I seem to be giving him something with cheese in it as a main meal, and often good old philadelphia seems to make an appearance as well. I just feel like I am already stuck in a rut and we are only a few weeks in!

Its not quite as easy as he eats what I eat unfortunately, mainly because both dh and I eat so much crap if left to our own devices! So I eat what he eats, but I make stuff with him in mind if that makes sense!

I know there is nothing wrong with cheese, but I am just looking for ideas that are perhaps cheese free to add a bit of variety!

Thank you Smile

Smooth peanut butter?
Eggy bread?
Creme Fraiche mixed with tomato puree?
Humous?

I am rather envious, DS always pulls 'the face' when cheese is on the menu (and has been seen picking melted cheese off pasta)

My 6 month old's favourites are avocado on toast, broccoli trees, corn on the cob (!) and tonight's bit hit was salmon fishcakes. Shame I am so rubbish at frying them. I burnt four before managing to make a nice golden one for her to eat. I think the ones in the freezer will be going in the oven....will that work???

Can't you just make normal meals for him? (and you?) Things like bolognese, chilli con carne, roasts, meat and veg type meals etc?

Or omlettes, rice cakes with humous, taramasalata, peanut butter. Pitta breads with some salami, smoked salmon, boiled eggs. Bits of cooked chicken, baked potato with tuna/sweetcorn/coleslaw etc etc?

i eat much more healthily now DD is on solids, it's brilliant!
