My DS is DC2 and is 20 wks old. He last saw GP at 17 wks who said I should wean him to help with reflux. I tried him with some baby rice and he showed no interest and I have left it a couple of wks and tried puree'd fruit which he still seemed not bothered by. He can eat well and doesn't spit it out but doesnt open his mouth much but I suppose my question is should he be showing more of an interest in food if he is ready to be weaned? With my DD she was really eager so had no doubt she was ready.

Don't really know much about reflux sorry but if you post on this thread you may get more responses Smile.

Have you tried something like a rice cake (which turns into complete mush in the mouth), which he could hold and chew. Doesn't feel like 'eating' then and not necessarily at a formal time, but more like a bit of a game to get used to eating.
