Baby rice

Ive seen a few threads where baby rice seems to be regarded as a bad thing. DD is 22 weeks and we're going to be weaning her soon, so I wanted to find out why baby rice should seemingly be avoided?

Thanks Edless, that's interesting. I think it just seems to me that 11 weeks is still a tiny newborn. I don't even see how you get them up straight enough to not worry about choking. Four months is very different in that respect.

I came across someone the other day who was thickening milk in bottles with 'a little' baby rice. That shocked me as I thought that choking hazards were quite well known now.
