Flying with 9 month DS will the flight allow me to bring food on board?

My DS is now eating 4 meals a day, 2 of which will be on the flight, does anyone know if I will be allowed to take his food with me?

What sort of food do you mean? Jars, finger foods, etc? You may be asked to taste it if it is in a jar. From directgov site:

Baby food and baby milk

You are allowed to take baby food, baby milk and sterilised water in your hand baggage. This includes:

soya milk for babies
sterilised water for the baby (must be in a baby bottle)
formula, breast milk or cow milk specifically for babies
baby food of various consistencies

You are allowed to take enough for the journey. In some cases this may be over 100ml. The adult carrying the baby food or milk may be asked to verify it by tasting.

Or you could not take any baby food in your hand luggage and just get something like a Boots sandwich or fruit pot once you're through security (most airports have a Boots, don't they?)

I flew with 10 month old this month & I took baby food on board at both ends no problem.

We flew long haul to NZ (26 hours) and I ordered DD the post weaning infant meal (thread on here somewhere about it) prior to flyng. They were largely great (scrambled egg, pasta, veggies etc) and DD did enjoy eating them.

I also took pouches with me & she had some of these too - flying longhaul means sometimes the meals came when the baby wasn't ready for them. You can order an infant meal but my airline told me that this would be smooth puree - so call up & check with your airline.

I also took fruit, breadsticks etc, and a beaker full of boiled water which I had to taste at security.
