What age can they eat tinned tuna?

Dd is 8 months. Is that too young? Does it contain high levels of bad things? What about sardines and tinned salmon?

I was told that it was fine for littlies - just buy tuna in oil, not in brine - too much salt in brine.

you need to get it in spring water, its more expensive but its the best out of the 3.

ds2 is 11 minths and has been having it for a few months...i usually buy it in spring water though

shop bought mayo is fine as it will have been pasteurised. Tinned tuna is fine from around 6 months - I always used tuna in spring water (although you have to read the labels as some of these still have salt added, as do the ones in oil)
