My DD was constipated about 5 days ago. I since then have made sure she's had a bit of water with her meals. Had 3 good days, and now constipated again. Tmi to follow..... I think from the hard nuggets she's managed to push out, it was her meal of carrot and potato. Any ideas if either of these are the culprit. Also read on her a little while back about giving prunes?! Going shopping today. Any ideas what I do with these to get it down my DD or any other ideas to help her thro. She was waking crying last nite and I'm sure that's why! :( Tia xxxx

I had the same problem with my 6 month DS this week. Went on for 5 days. I think banana was the cause here. anyway, on advice of a friend I gave him some apricot (pureed with some pear) and it worked a treat!! i have never been so pleased to change a nappy!

Try a dash of orange juice in water as this helps my DD

A tsp of Olive oil was my god send, when my DS had constipation and massaged his belly using olive oil as well in clockwise rotational motion...

For prunes, mash them up with a bit of filtered water. They come out in the poo as black bits though so be warned!
