ds is breastfed and on 3 meals a day. After I started weaning him he was sleeping through the night until a week ago. My HV advised me to give cheese and chicken. So I did. Now he is feeding AGAIN at 12 and 3am why?????

Why cheese and chicken? what a weird thing to say! I didn't start meats until DS was 9 months, but that was just my personal preferrance, do you think he's teething? Is he feeding enough in the day? He will still need more milk than food for a while yet...

Is it still to early for meat then? Shall I give only fruit and veg? I think he's teething, but when he wakes up he seems genuinely hungry. Do I have to breastfeed before the meal at breakfast and lunch time (HV said the other way round)?

Think the meat and cheese is for protiens, which I think is meant to be more satisfying ( I could be wrong though...). I'm in Canada and the info I've been given is that you can give meats, fish, etc from 7 months and dairy (cheese) etc from 9 months.
