Banging her bottle

My DD is just five months - in the last week she has started whacking her bottle while she feeds - almost like beating a rhythm. I started giving her baby rice in the morning four days ago. I just wonder what she does this for? Is it frustration?

My DD did/still does the same, she's now 11 months. Think it's just something to do whilst she's feeding.

My 5 month old does the same. I haven't started weaning her yet, so I think it's just her playing around. She's bashing at everything at the mo x

Yep my DD is 4mo and has been doing this for a bit as well, think she's just playing. We did try her on larger teats for a while and she wasn't coping with them so we've changed back and she's still doing it.

I think she will be a drummer!

DS2 has started doing this (5 mths) and now grabs his foot and bangs that on the bottom, drives me mad but its either that or he tries to shove both hands in his mouth whilst he is feeding!

My DD (nearly 6 months) swipes her bottle out of the way, bangs it, looks around, sticks her fingers in her mouth whilst bottle is there and bangs feet..happy feeding time!!!! :( drives me nuts!

My DS went through a phase around that time (lasted for a few months) where he'd slap/bang anything in the vicinity while feeding. Lots of the time my boobs or face... He's grown out of it though, now he prefers pinching..

rrreow, my DD pinches too. Drives me insane. I have to put gloves on her before I feed her!

Sorry I was meant to say that my DD bangs her hands on me when I'm feeing her too.
