How important is milk - DS 11 months

My DS has turned 11 months and I have started to introduce cows milk to replace the formula he has.

His milk intake has never been vast and sometimes I wish I hadn't stopped bfing at 6 months as at least that way I couldn't worry too much about the volume he was taking. Over the past couple of weeks his milk intake really seems to have dropped - today less around about 10 ounce. He has stopped drinking much milk before bed but isn't affecting his sleep (he sleeps through most nights, which is a recent thing!!).

Solids are good most days, some days can be a bit hit and miss and he won't eat much but some days he eats everything put in front of him. He has plenty of cheese, yogurts etc.

I'm starting to worry he's not drinking enough milk - what do you think?

Thanks

I know the books say they should be on 18-21oz until 1 year. But my gut instinct is that this is flexible. Especially at 11months.

IMO If he is really not having much i would stick to formula till he's 12 months then swap to cows milk then.

I tend to give my 10 mo formula in his sippy cup for his afternoon "bottle", as he was just faffing about when trying to give him it in a normal baby bottle.

Wouldnt worry too much though, he's only got 4 weeks till the magic 12months. So no matter what you do its not going to do any harm... Smile
