BLW for a baby who mostly feeds to sleep

My ds is 5months and 1 week and I am planning to start BLW when he gets to 6 months. Up to now he has been EBF on demand.

The "problem" is that he mostly feeds just before his naps (still doing quite a few of those), and falls asleep straight away. Other than this he may have just a single not too long feed during his awake time, and, at the moment it is impossible to predict at which time or whether he will do this at all.

I know that for BLW he is meant to have his breastfeed before we offer him his food, but, unless there are some significant changes in the next 3 weeks, it doesn't look like it's going to be possible.

Should I try and start to change his feeding pattern (although I don't see how) or can I just start offering food at the normal times we are eating and worry about the breastmilk before other foods once he start to actually eat significant amounts?

Thanks in advance and sorry if this has been asked a thousand times, I have done a search but couldn't find anything.

Thanks a lot Indith and Nappymaestro, I thought I might be worrying about nothing...
Looking forward to starting the weaning in 3 weeks time :)

Just feed him real food when you are eating, and continue to let him choose when he wants his bf. You are worrying about nothing.
