Maximum formula at 9 months?

The HV said that our 9 month baby should have a maximum of 450ml of formula a day. It later struck me as a bit odd to have a maximum, given different sizes of babies. Is this right or could it have been a slip of tongue?
Thanks

Sounds wrong to me - I think at 1 you're supposed to make sure they have at least a pint of milk (550ish ml) so can't see that it would be less for a younger baby.

DD is 13m and has around 450ml milk now, but also has water throughout the day - often at least 250ml.

the minimum recommended between 6 months and 1 year is around 20oz (approx 500/600mls) so your hv is talking mince. From 1 year the minimum drops to around 12oz (approx 300/350mls)

p.s. you formula tub probably gives 3 x 7oz bottles as the average amount for that age group

Thanks guys. I'll ignore her advice for the moment and raise it next time I see her.
