Did you notice a change in poo?

My DS is 6 months and we started him on solids a week or so ago. Before starting, he had been doing one big poo a day. Since starting... He's been pooing multiple times a day and as expected, the poo has changed a bit. Still soft. His bottom has started to go red and it looks like the start if nappy rash. We're changing nappies as often as poss and trying up give air time during the day. Did you notice a change in the frequency of poo when you started weaning? DS as been in a bit of pain and I'm not sure if it's the red bottom, tummy adjusting to the food or something else? He's eaten mainly baby rice and pear and I think the pear might be a bit acidic?

Yes, DD's poo changed in texture and in frequency. It took a month or two for it all to settle down into a new pattern.

Carrots and bananas gave her constipation. Never tried her on baby rice or pear so can't comment on the soreness.

Could be teething? Any dribble or chewing of hands?

My DD used to go every other day when ebf and now twice a day. I depends what she's eaten depending on what it looks like! Black bits with banana, bright orange with carrot etc!! Still soft, sometimes with a few harder bits xxx
