Hiya!

I am so excited about start my little baby onto solids.

However I have a silly question. Do you wait until 24 weeks or 6 calendar months?

She will be 24 weeks this friday but 6months the following friday. The difference is a whole week.

Would you wait another week?!

Also do I switch to formula number 2 at the same time?

Thank you

xx

6 months is 26 weeks. There is no need to switch to follow on milk but I did as it was cheaper

You can start when she's showing the appropriate signs of readiness - for some babies that will be at 23 weeks (or a little earlier), for others it will be 27 weeks (or later)

You don't need to switch formula (although it is cheaper as Seona says) and remember that you can use cows milk for cooking with or to put on food (eg cereal) rather than faffing about with formula for that!

Thank you Ladies :)

She has been putting stuff in her mouth since 4months but for good 2/3 weeks she has been sitting up and I even have put her on her high chair to play because she loves it so much.

I think I will start with the beg and fruit this week and then give her a proper meal with meat to tuck into on her 6 months birthday.

Was wondering about the formula because only recently I put her on formula so I know very little about bottle feeding. I was also wondering if the follow on milk was re-inforced to account for the fact they may not want as much milk now her tummy will be filled with food sometimes.
