weaning help

I have been weaning dd for about 1 week and have been advised to try each new food for 4 days. So far she has gobbled down baby rice and pear puree both mixed with a little milk.

But it occurred to me, what do I do if she doesn't like a food? Do I keep offering it for 4 days? What did other people find worked for them.

I will try carrot tomorrow I think. It's all very exciting

it is exciting, isn't it gingernutlover?!?! I must admit, dd ate most things at that early stage, but if she didn't like something, I would come back to it a few days later. I was (and still am?) a bit paranoid that if I forced something a bit (or a lot), then I would end up naking her fussy, and she might refuse food as a concept, if you see what I mean. DD loved carrot by the way, and apple, and spinach. Pear has always been a favourite! Also, apple with cinnamon! Enjoy ...

thanks i had visions of her refusing a food for 4 days and thought thius might cause problems. so will not persist if she dislikes something but will try it again in a few days

also is it okay to give mango and melon? they were on special at tescos.

she has just tried to steal my sandwich and also has an eye on my chocolate too!
