Blending food

Could anyone advise which is best to use when starting to puree my ds food shortly and wondered whether a blender or food processor will be better.

I just used a hand held blender thingy - fine for pureeing carrots etc and when older you can blitz sauces to the right consistency - getting lumpier as they get older. (Also good for blitzing cheese sauces etc that are too lumpy). HTH
