BLW - so how do I spoon in the medicine?

My 10 mo DD is sick for the first time. She is an avid spoon-refuser, and therefore a BLW-er. But how can I possibly give her paracetamol??? She refuses the bottle of milk if I mix it in (she can taste the difference I guess), and the beaker of water with paracetamol mixed. It only tastes of strawberry, so it is definitely nice to taste... ARGH! what do i do???

use a syringe.

hope she gets better soon.

If she will let you put it in her mouth try a syringe, put it in so the end goes into her cheek and push the medicine in very slowly so she will swallow it. With our DS we have to sometimes hold his arms as he tries to bat the syringe but he does at least get medicine down him.

Think boots also do a dummy that u can use to give medicine x sure I have seen it lol I'm assuming u just syringe it into the dummy and they suck it out or something x

You should be able to get some syringes from your HV or GP. Get two, let you LO hold one while you gently use the other one to give the medicine. I find it works best sitting up and distracted, for my 9.5mo Waybuloo works a treat!!

syringe (you can get dosing syringes at the chemist) or suppositories
