Best wipable bibs?

Hobbes8 · 14/02/2012 14:33

I bought a plastic coverall sleeved bib from Asda, but it's huge on my 7 month old. It gapes at the neck so food gets on his clothes anyway, and it was too long in the arms and he likes to get his hands in his food. Any good recommendations for a better one? Preferably one that can be wiped (hosed) down rather than needs washing each mealtime.

Thanks

My DD is small, 25th centile (girl). I can say the ikea ones are too big for her so you don't have to waste your money there.

Poundland, fits well and cheap!

The roll-up rubber one from Tommee Tippee is wipe clean and has a good wide crumb catcher. Not too stiff so it doesnt get in the way, and the neck is adjustable. It does stain quite easily but as long as you don't mind it looking mucky it's fine. Doesn't cover the arms though, I just roll the sleeves up.

Ikea bibs are great. They are a good size. I have to roll the sleeves up for my average sized 9.5mo but i love them. I tend to have a fabric bib underneath to soak up his water as no bib i have found keeps him dry round the neck. They come in a 2 pack for a few pounds and they can be wiped clean. Even if they dont fit now they will be handy in a couple of months!

Tommy Tippee is my best recommendation

The baby Bjorn ones are expensive but great. I wash them in the machine twice a week but other than that just wipe down. I have one for my 10 mth old blw and it fits well round the neck I just have to roll the sleeves a little

The bibetta ones are great. Made from neoprene so you can just wipe or rinse under the tap and they dry really quickly. When they get a bit too grimy you can throw in the washing machine. My small size lasted for well over a year (I had two) and I have now bought the bigger size.
