Can anyone give any advice or had the same thing? My DS2 is a very large boy and loves his food. A couple of weeks ago he had a really nasty bout of gastric flu - vomitting, diarrhoea and off all food even milk for a couple of days and real food for over a week. He's now back up to 3 meals a day and eating lots but doing about 6+ little solid poos a day, they're not proper little pellets and he shows no sign of straining but do you think he is constipated (he's FF)?
We have gone down the spoonfed pap route (he was so unco-ordinated at 6 mo that he didn't really seem interested in making the effort to get food to his mouth and yet he was very hungry). He was waking frequently at night until i moved to purees which he wolfed down like the proverbial little bird and fairly soon afterwards the night wakings dramatically reduced. He now has finger foods and mainly mashed foods but does not really like water or seem interested in doing anything with sippy cups except banging them around and throwing them on the floor. I put extra water in his FF to get the water into him but wondering whether you think he's eating too much (i never encourage him to eat when he's not interested or have to distract him with toys to eat and the other night he ate loads of puree and then 2 slices of frittata when his 3 year old brother only managed 4 as his entire supper!) or whether its just catch up from not eating for a while / a bit of a shock to the system again after mainly being milk fed for a bit....? Any ideas v welcome as i feel like i am constantly changing nappies at the moment...thanks
