We're stuck in a rut of fruit, raisins & cheese. Dh is going to make cheese straws today. I've bought some breadsticks. But we need more ideas!

We mix in shreddies or cheeeios with raisons in a tub. Or a banana - thats easy to chuck into a bag.

At that age, ds liked a mixture of shreddies, cheerios, miniwheetabix and dried fruits in a bag. Cheese oatcakes (Nairns do a pack of 3) or plain. Marmite ricecakes. Banana/apple/pear/blueberries. If very enthusiastic, make savoury minimuffins and freeze them so you can just grab a couple out each day

We make a homemade version of the goodies snack bars, just looked at the ingredients on the back, chucked them in the blender in roughly the same quantities and zuzzed into a paste, then squish it into a baking tray and cook for about 20 mins. DS loves them and they are a lot cheaper than buying them.

How old is your DC? I find that mine will eat most concoctions if he's 'made' them himself!

Little tubs of houmous with carrot or cucumber sticks are great, and mini pitta breads stuffed with just about anything.

Another tip my friend gave me is that if a cafe has a parent microwave for heating food, take a whole egg in a tub and you can do a quick scrambled egg whilst you're out! Genius, though probably more useful for younger DC.

Brioche rolls are great for chucking in last minute too

We tend to give DS the Goodies oat bars and fruit bars, or the little Ella's banana biscuits. They're often on offer.

I try to give him home-cooked food for most meals but tend to go ready-made for snacks.

His fave at the moment is tangerines, though, or clementines.

16 months. Cereal & cereal bars are about the only thing she doesn't eat.

Muffins are a good idea.
