Weaning - Confused

I thought I was doing really well with weaning until I saw the HV today who seemed to imply that I was rushing. I started weaning at 5 months as my DS was ready, this was agreed by the HV. Now 5 weeks in my DS has breakfast? (porridge/fruit), lunch and dinner (pureed veggies), in additon he has 4 milk feeds throughout the day (6oz). Is this too much? I have been following the meal planner in the Annabel Karmel book. My DS is 6 months and has always been a good weight (75th centile), however today the HV just confused me surely its a good thing to establish 3 meals a day?

a minimum of 20oz is recommended from 6 months to 1 year so milk intake looks fine. At that age ds had 3 tiny meals alongside his milk feeds and as his solids gradually increased his milk intake slowly dropped - I just wouldnt increase the solids too quickly at the expense of milk as it is still very important.
