6mo hyper after eating! Anyone else?

Hi all. My 6mo has been on purees for almost 6 weeks now. Just introduced meat, fish and dairy within the last week or so. I've noticed tonight that after tea (potato and cauliflower purees with some added cheese and a dash of milk) he's gone totally hyper, I've got him in his Jumperoo trying to work some of it off but he's just bouncing and shouting constantly! He acted like this a few days ago too, but I can't remember what he'd had to eat that day. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Does anyone know if it's possible that maybe the cheese could have sent him a bit nuts?! Obviously I'll leave it out if that's what is causing it but from what I could find so far it seems like dairy should calm children, not hype them up! Thanks for any advice :)

My 6mo is hyper all the time! Shouting, kicking, punching, rolling all over the shop, singing....only just started on solids so can't blame that here :-) Maybe he's just excited about life? As long as you're not giving him any additives etc I can't see it being the food - though I'm no expert.

If experienced this with my 6mo old dd and now I'm thinking that maybe she just get extra energy from solids lol. If your worried keep a log.
