Dairy replacing formula

DD is nearly 10 months and is still only having 2 solid meals per day. I am conscious that she needs to have at least 18 fl oz formula per day. She won't drink more than 7 oz per feed (and sometimes will only have between 4 and 6 oz) so the morning and evening feed count for 14 oz.

If I use formula on her breakfast (instead of cow's milk) and give her a yoghurt with her 3rd meal is this enough to cover the shortfall?

I guess it would be a good idea to use formula with breakfast. You could maybe try giving mashed banana with formula as a snack, & mashed avocado with formula. I read somewhere that there isn't enough iron in cow's milk so it is important to try to keep formula intake going. My ds (6mths) is the same!

Thanks chocolateshoes, there's so much contradictory information that I never know what's right. I'd phone the health visitor but I don't think I would trust her advice having read some of the posts on here.

I daily have this problem, I make up 3 7oz bottles a day and just prey she'll drink it all but invariably doesnt. I sneak formula into everything! Rusk soaked in fomula is good if it's a bad day!!
