Has anyone got a good recipe using chickpeas for 6 month baby? Plus any easy protein meals for veggie baby??

veggie stew with chickpeas in?

NotQuiteCockney · 15/01/2006 21:17

I would use red lentils, and make a mild dahl, rather than chickpeas. Chickpeas are a bit high fibre for this age, maybe?

I cooked salt free chickpeas with cream and tumeric, cumin & coriander to make a mild curry puree, dd must've been 6 or 7 months & it went down quite well.

It is a bit soon for chickpeas IMO as well. In fact I just seem to follow you around the site agreeing with you, NQC.

NotQuiteCockney · 15/01/2006 21:44

Should I consider changing my name to something about Esme and squalor?

FrannytheQuinoaEater · 15/01/2006 21:49

Esme the Squalid Millet Muncher?

NotQuiteCockney · 15/01/2006 21:53

That sounds rude to me! (I think I will probably just stay NQC. I've been it too long to start confusing people now ...)

Maybe I'm just too tired from peering at confusing NCT BFC claims. Gr.

I have just found something I disagree about on the Museums thread . There's a first!

NotQuiteCockney · 15/01/2006 22:00

We can't have too much agreeing. It would be unseemly. And not really representing the Mumsnet (real) philosophy.
