Cows milk

DH has cows milk intolerance - quite bad excema which was horrendous as a baby. He was weaned at 4 months and given cows milk/formula, which his mum blames for his allergy.

DS is 6.5 mo, has been ebf and now on 2x solid meals a day. Still scared of giving him dairy - should I wait? Is there any difference between waiting 6 months or say 8? Once we are past 6 months does any extra time make any difference?

He's shown no signs of any allergy so far (I've been eating dairy while bfing) I really want to give him some cheese! Also want to stop having to express for cooking purposes...

thanks!

Just try him with a small bit in food, if he had an allergy chances are he would have reacted to you drinking cows milk.
My DS was bottle fed but at 6 months I tried him with a yoghurt, I held off dairy for a few more months and he has been fine.

Hi there. This is my first time of joining in, but I've got a question. My daughter is 1 next week and I'm keen to get her on to cows milk instead of the formula she is currently on. Can I just transfer her straight away or do I need to do it gradually. She has been fine with full fat milk in sauces etc. and loves all other dairy products. Some words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
