Scared of weaning - have a toddler

My DD is turning 6 months in 2 days. I know she is ready for weaning and she is a healthy, large baby, but i'm terrified of the extra work involved. I've a 2.5yo DS -- v active and still needing feedingand well as a lot of attention especially at meal times. Am on my own looking after them and it's very intense and exhausting.

Any mums out there who went through this and can offer any tips on routine, or how you managed through it?

At the moment I BF my DD on demand, every 2-3hrs ish...

With my DS weaning was all easy-ish - no screaming toddler at meal times and I had plenty of time to sit and play with my DS for up to an hour at a time giving him food, then wash and clean as well as prepare purees. This time round I've hit rock bottom already on energy level, and I've not even started the baby feeding...!:(

There doesn't need to be any extra work involved, just give her the same food as your son and yourself. Search on here, or Google, 'baby led weaning' for advice and information.

Ladylotty - I'm feeling a lot like that too! Just about to start with dd2 who is just six months. Want to be weaning buddies?
