Hi all,

My DS is 7 months and has been enthusiasticaly wolfing down solids for the last 2 months. I started off slowly, and havn't come across anything he doesnt like, in fact he sits there with his mouth wide open waiting for the spoon and almost always eats it all 3 meals a day. He also likes to feed himself with finger foods. He is BFed at 7am, 11am, 3pm, 7pm and has a botlle from his dad at 10:30pm. This seems excessive, but how do I drop one? He doesnt seem that fussed about either his 11am or his 3pm feed so i guess it'll be one of those that goes, but do I then need to re-jig the other milk feed times? Or do they stay the same?

Some advice from anyone experienced with this would be great. Thank You!

it was the 11am feed we dropped first and it was replaced with a snack and drink of water at around 10.30aam. I kept the other feed times the same.

Doesn't sound excessive at all. If you are going to keep milk the major source of his nutrition (which it should be) until he is 12m then continuing to bf is important. Dropping feeds will happen in good time if you don't push solids too much and follow baby's cues.
