BLW broccoli and Stilton soup?

We're having broccoli and Stilton soup for supper later, but I'm a bit worried about the salt content in the Stilton although I haven't added extra salt.

I'm assuming the actual Stilton is ok to give as its been cooked in the soup?

Mmm I know. That's a worry. Hopefully a baby led weaning expert will be along soon to put your mind at rest.

Have you looked at your NHS birth to 5? From my reading of it. Unpasterized cheeses aren't listed in the banned food for under 12mo, only 6mo. Also it's listeria that is a worry for unborn babies. I do believe cooking kills it.

I won't worry about the salt. I remember the blw book says an occasional ham sandwich is ok. Just don't do it everyday. And once it's diluted with low salt stock, it can't be that salty.

Sorry to hijack and ask a slightly off topic question.....but how do you do BLW with soup? Sounds very messy Confused

Chunks of bread they can dip in if you want to be a purist.

I always gave soup/yoghurt to mine with a spoon and they managed to pick up the helping themselves part pretty well....

Thankyou.

I just dipped bread in it and gave her the bread. She loved it!
