Reflux baby started weaning now vomiting ..any advice?

Ds is 6 months actual age., was 7 weeks prem . I have started him in rice yesterday and today. He threw up his 2 pm milk and now his 4 pm one I gave him as I figured he must be hungry. Is it the reflux or he isn't ready ?? Any ideas?

DS had horrible reflux. We started weaning at 6 months, and it did get worse before it got better. He's now 9 months and it's so much better, but for a while I was wondering what the hell was going on.

I think if they have sensitive stomachs then any change will be difficult. It does get better, though!

I bf DS, and have to eliminate all dairy and soy from my diet, as they both aggravate his reflux. Nothing else did, though, when he was ebf. Since weaning, all sorts of foods set him off. So we've had to go very slowly. We've been doing baby-led weaning, so he is in control of what he eats, and he does eat less, solid-wise, than many of my friends' babies. But he is happy and healthy!

And there is improvement - he can now tolerate soy, for example.

I would keep an eye on what he's eating and check his reaction - and if it makes him worse, just avoid that particular thing for a while.

I know it's hard, but honestly, it does all just go away one day :)

I have thank you but it's Massive . I will try and read through . As you know with reflux babies I don't get a lot of free time :(

Even if you don't get time to read all of it bish (it is big isn't it), it might be worth posting your concerns on there and seeing what the others have experienced .

Thanks , I have done ..ds slept for a few hours earlier and I read through it. So many combinations of drugs and milk etc...it's a nightmare this reflux !
