Any suggestions? We use a beaker for water but it seems really slow - DS will be hard pressed to go through 200ml from that.

His birthday monday, so looking to change things this week

We're using ThinkBaby beaker and it seems really good. It has a soft spout, so very similar to a teat. They're excellent quality and really last (had it with my first as well).

Another really good one is SteelSafe. They're quite small and the spout seems to be easy for babies. You can get spare ones (my DS1 literally chewed through a couple of these, when teething).

VitalBaby also make a small beaker (first tumbler). We've had no problems with their spout, though it's less like a teat (still comfortable and pretty soft). We use it when out and about, it's pretty good.

I've also read that Avent magic cups are good, but we're yet to try the one we were given as a gift.

I swear by doidy cup (google if never heard of it - I hadn't until someone at baby group told me about it!!) my little one is nearly 7 months and has been drinking water and juice from it since 4 months and starting to have some milk from it. It mimics the mouth action of breastfeeding apparently (I bottlefed so don't know!) and it's open top so encourages drinking from open cups. It has two handles so as he gets older hopefully he will do it himself. Bit messy at the moment so we only use it at home but is brill! x
