Hi

I started weaning my dd at 22/23wks, she is now on 3 (small meals a day) plus 5 bottles, all the weaning booklets I have say that babies can enjoy family meals with the rest of the family, sooooooo I need a good cook book which I can take recipes from and cook for all the family. Anyone got some good recommendations please and particularly a one thats easy to follow

I wouldn't give family meals so young. Stick to single veg and fruit purees for the next few weeks at least.

Depends what you call family meals . I did make casseroles with no salt etc and simple ingredients plus cottage pie, fish pie etc but had introduced the different ingredients separately first as purees and the children were a bit older (maybe 8-9 months) by the time they took sufficient quantity to make it really worthwhile. I'd also freeze left over portions in ramekin sized dishes. I have used several different Annabel Karmel books (the Meal Planner and Small Helpings ) and some of the recipes in there are suitable as the basis of family meals. You may find some of her ideas online too - try the BBC site and her own .

I agree with HC. My dd only started eating "family food" when she was about 12 months.
