I have started weaning ds, 5 1/2 months. He's enjoying fruit and veg purees and I haven't given him any gluten or meat products yet.

I am keen to offer finger foods as well as purees, especially for things like meat and bread but am struggling to work out how to combine. When he hits 6 months, do I just start offering chunks of bread and meat alongside some purees? I don't want to go completely blw as he loves the food and gets frustrated already if he can't get enough.

Sorry if I am just being naive/ pfb!

yy, just offer things like (say) casseroled meat, or strips of chicken. bits if what you're eating, minus salt, put on his high chair tray. Toast often better than bread at the beginning - they seem to find it easier to eat, and it's a good vehicle for all sorts of other stuff.
