10month ds refusing to be spoon fed

My ds used to be a good eater, then his first teeth cut around 8 months ever since he's been getting progressively worse. I use everything in the book to distract him and he usually opens his mouth and just eats. However, the last week he's now starting to turn his head to one side. He's pretty good with trying finger foods and lumps, so am not sure whether to go down this road completely. I also have a 3year old dd who is also a nightmare at mealtimes as she sees him getting all the attention and barely eats anything as well.
I'm just not sure what to give him and how much he really eats and what gets mushed up in his hand and on the floor! When he cut his first teeth he barely ate anything for a week and woke up every night for 10 days (probably out of hunger) so I worry that when he's this bad and doesn't eat he'll start waking up again.
Its not like he tops up with milk though as he barely drinks any, anything between 10-15oz a day.
Any suggestions? He doesn't seem to do anything with a spoon when given one if this were an alternative.

My 10 month dd is increasingly refusing to be spoon fed too, I'm taking the path of least resistance and giving her finger foods most of the time. It's a little annoying with a freezer full of baby mush though!

My ds is exactly the same (also same age). I have found that giving him some finger food to distract him and also help development allowed me to shovel some mush inbetween is bites of toast or whatever

I think I'm covered for dinners, but am stuck on ideas for lunch. He has 6 teeth so can bite and seems to chew most things. Any ideas on anything other than sandwiches?

My dd loves pasta as finger food - I cook a smallish one like fusilli in tomato & cheese sauce. Very messy . She will also feed herself cut up bits of omlette, banana and "baby sandwiches".

Hi, you will all think I am mad, but I have a 17th month old son who won't eat for me. He is still on formula, won't touch real milk, still wakes twice in the night for a bottle and drinks six in a day. Only recently I can give him a waffle, sausage or toast and he will eat it. Can anybody help me!!

How about dips like cottage cheese, avocado, houmous with toast soldiers, raw carrot etc? Might work!!
