Refusing milk - is this normal????

I have been weaning DS 7months for 5 weeks now. He was previously having formula milk during the day and BF evenings/nights. Since about 2 weeks into weaning he refuses all types of formula milk (no matter if in a bottle or cup). Is this normal? I work full time so that basically means he's surviving on food (baby cereal, purees (mainly fruit/veg, some meat) and bread/toast as finger food) with only milk at night. He loves water so i'm not worried about dehydration but he doesn't seem to be getting much in the way of nutrition. Am seeing the doctor for a weight check next week but just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same problem.

I am experiencing the same. For instance I will make her a 6oz bottle first thing in the morning and she will take 3oz. Same throughout the day, so I have ended up offering a fresh bottle more often. I am just managing the 18-20oz but over about 7 bottles.

I think if you can get some milk into his other foods maybe, like in porridge, putting some into some purees. I think you can get vitamin drops for if they don't take milk, but that's only if desparate I think.

See what your HV says.

Thanks Natzer. I think upping the milk in the baby porridge may be a good plan. It's not going to make up for what he should be drinking but I guess its a start!
