Normally it is 6 months so is he/she very hungry. I Just started with baby rice mixed with either formula or breast milk for the first week or so and see how that went.

Yeah I know but gp said to start him as he has bowel problems without solid I had it the same with ds1 so it was no surprise when it happened with ds2 I have been doing baby rice for 4 days so what would the next step be a breakfast or 3 meals

I would just give him a little bit of what you're eating at meal times, and go at the pace he wants. Just avoid dairy and gluten until 6 months, salt, whole nuts and honey. You might want to avoid protein until 6 months too.

Before 6mo I would stick with purees of root veg and apple and pears. This is the first taste menu in annabel karmel. (she also has mangoes and papayas but that's quite pricey isnt it)?

Does anyone know where I an get her book from & how much it is?

Shaz this is the one www.amazon.co.uk/Annabel-Karmels-Complete-Toddler-Planner/dp/0091924855. You can probably get it from the library too given how popular AK is.
