DS 7mo weight is on 9th centile (he does have a health concern), I was advised to top up bf with formula but he won't take more than about 25mls, which makes me think he probably is getting enough bm?
He is however, taking puree's well. I have been making the AK meals, he likes fish pie/spag bol/cheesy mash/rice pudding.
Is homemade flapjack ok to offer?
Has has been having melon/banana/ricecakes/cucumber etc
I'm keen to get a few more calories in him though if poss.

How about cheese, or little sandwich fingers?

lilham · 24/10/2011 11:54

Cheese omlettes or eggy bread?

NewChoos · 24/10/2011 11:54

And toast soldiers with all kind of spreads, including those veg purees, or cheese for higher calories

cream cheese and full fat yogurt are good ways of getting extra calories in. Also avocado is a good one. Also (you may be doing this already) but you could give him formula on breakfast cereal/porrige etc?

toast with humus is a favorite around here. also hard boiled egg cooled and then cut into quarters.
